Applications must be received by March 31, 2026 and grants will be awarded in mid-April.
At the Sam, I Can Foundation, we see people on the front lines of animal welfare as heroes. Whether you are running a local rescue, managing a spay and neuter clinic, or providing specialized care, we know the work is hard and budgets are often thin.
We offer small grants designed to help organizations that are making a real, tangible difference in the lives of animals. We want to know who you are, who you are helping, and how we can help you do it better.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind:
Eligibility: We prioritize registered non-profits and verified organizations dedicated to animal welfare.
Focus: Our grants are generally “micro-grants” intended for specific projects, emergency medical needs, or vital equipment.
Transparency: We value honesty and clear goals. Tell us exactly how the funds will be used.
Please fill out the application as completely as possible. We know you’re busy, so we have kept this process as streamlined as we can.

About our Grants
What is the grant amount?
Each grant is awarded in the amount of $250.
How many grants are available?
Two organizations will be selected for grants.
Who is eligible to apply?
Applicants must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving animals in a humane and ethical manner.
What can the grant funds be used for?
Grant funds may be used for mission related needs such as medical care, supplies, enrichment, transport, or other direct support for animals, as outlined in the application.
How are grant recipients selected?
Grant recipients are selected by the board of the Sam, I Can Foundation based on need, impact, and alignment with our mission.
Can organizations apply more than once?
Yes. Organizations may reapply in future grant cycles.
Will recipients be publicly announced?
Yes. Grant recipients will be highlighted on the Sam, I Can Foundation’s website and social media platforms.
Is there a reporting requirement?
Selected recipients may be asked to share a brief update or photo showing how the grant funds were used.
How often are grants awarded?
Grants are awarded periodically and application periods will be announced in our newsletter and on our social media platforms.
